Company profile

Lambda Consulting was founded in 2000 as close corporation specialising in reliability engineering.  The company
provides reliability analysis and test services, HALT & HASS test equipment and reliability training to clients in defence, aerospace, nuclear and industrial companies.

Services are rendered either on a consulting or subcontractor basis by Albertyn Barnard as principal consultant, who
has provided consulting services since 1982.  He received the degrees B Eng (Electronics) cum laude, B Eng Hons (Electronics), M Eng (Electronics) and M Eng (Engineering Management) from the University of Pretoria.  Albertyn has recently registered for the degree PhD (Development and Management) at the North-West University.

Albertyn has presented several technical papers on reliability engineering at national and international symposia.
He won the Best Paper Award at the 2004 INCOSE SA conference (in Pretoria, South Africa), the Gold Award at
the 2009 International Applied Reliability Symposium Europe (in Barcelona, Spain) and the Silver Award at the 2012 International Applied Reliability Symposium Europe (in Warsaw, Poland).

Albertyn is a part-time lecturer at the Graduate School of Technology Management at the University of Pretoria, and
served as President of the South African chapter of INCOSE (International Council on Systems Engineering) during 2008.
He currently serves as Chair of the INCOSE Reliability Engineering Working Group.
